PU-system is designed for the manufacture of decorative elements, furniture accessories and components

POLYSYSTEM 600(1000)

Application:

POLYSYSTEM 600 (1000) two-component PU-system is designed for the manufacture of decorative elements, furniture accessories and components, as well as decorative, finishing and structural elements of furniture. POLYSYSTEM 600(1000) is used for the production of items with the density of 900 - 1100 kg/m³ by means of forming in silicone molds.

Distinctive properties of polyurethane decorative elements are:
- variety of design solutions; - strength and durability (exceeds the durability of wood);
- high resistance to rapid changes of temperature; - high resistance to water;
- resistance to decay, humic and fungal acids.
System description:

POLYSYSTEM 600(1000) Component A is a mixture of simple polyethers, foaming agents and functional additives.

Component B is polymeric diphenylmethanediisocyanate of low viscosity (PMDI/PIC: WannatePM-200, Desmodur44V20L, LupranateM20 S, VoranateM229, VoratecSD100 and their counterparts produced by other manufacturers).

Typical indicators:

Foaming parameters (mass ratio of Components A : B = 100 : 60)
Foaming conditions: stirring with a glass rod for 1-2 minutes. Temperature of components before foaming: (20 - 22) °C. Foaming characteristics may vary depending on the foaming conditions.

Recommendations for processing:

The key conditions for the qualitative filling of a form with polyurethane foam are: compliance with the accuracy of dosing and temperature conditions of the PU-system components' processing regime; sufficient mass of the poured PU-system portion and proper preparation of the mold's working surface.

POLYSYSTEM 600(1000) PU-system is processed by (manually) pouring it into open or closed silicone rubber molds. Before pouring, molds are cleaned and, if necessary, lubricated with anti-adhesive grease, which ensures easy and quick extraction of finished products.
Optimal temperature of the mold working surface is (18 - 22) °C.
Before processing, the components are thermostated up to (18 - 22) °C.

A pre-weighted amount of Component A is added to the mixing tank. Then, a pre-weighed amount of Component B is quickly added to the same tank, and the mixture is stirred for 1-2 minutes until a homogeneous substance is obtained. The prepared mixture is then quickly poured into the mold; this minimizes the formation of air bubbles. The product curing time is 10 - 20 minutes (depending on the mold size and configuration).
Once the curing time is over, the product is removed from the mold and kept for 24 hours in a room with a temperature not lower than 18 °C - to ensure the final curing of polyurethane foam. Technical documentation for the equipment and the process of obtaining finished products are the guidelines for the PU-system processing.

Handling and storage

POLYSYSTEM 600(1000) Component A warranty period of storage is 6 months - when stored in a dry place in a hermetically sealed manufacturer's container at a temperature of (10 – 25) °C.

Component B warranty period and storage conditions - in accordance with the technical data provided by the manufacturer. The POLYSYSTEM 600(1000) PU-system technical requirements and Component B safety passport are the guidelines for the transportation, storage, handling and safety of these materials. These documents are updated periodically. Ask manufacturers and/or suppliers for updated versions of relevant documents before using the PU-system. When working with the above-mentioned materials, it is necessary to pay attention to personnel health, to compliance with safety and health regulations, as well as to environment safety.
